How billing works

Yeap Cloud bills through invoices:

  1. You order from a plan page, the provisioning wizard or the cart.
  2. An unpaid invoice is created together with the matching subscription.
  3. When the invoice is paid, the subscription becomes active and the service is provisioned automatically.
  4. Before the subscription expires, a renewal invoice is created. Paying it extends the subscription by one billing cycle.

Everything to do with money is under Billing in the sidebar: Balance at /billing/balance, My plans at /billing/subscription, Invoice management at /billing/invoices and Cart at /billing/cart.

Account balance and top-ups

Your account balance is held in US dollars (USD). You can top it up in advance and use it to pay invoices.

Top up your balance

  1. Go to Billing → Balance, or click Top up on the balance card on the dashboard.
  2. Click Top up. Pick a preset amount or enter your own (1 to 10,000 USD, up to two decimal places).
  3. Click Create top-up invoice. A top-up invoice is created and you are taken to it.
  4. Click Pay Now and pay by card (see "Payment methods" below).
  5. When the payment succeeds, the amount is credited to your balance automatically.
Note

A top-up invoice cannot be paid from your balance. If you already have several unpaid top-up invoices, pay them or let them expire before creating another. Top-up invoices are due within 3 days.

Transaction history

The Transaction History table on the Account balance page lists every balance movement with its time, type (Recharge, Deduction, Refund), amount, balance before and after, and a description.

Pay an invoice

  1. Go to Billing → Invoices, find an invoice with status Payment pending and click Pay now. Alternatively click View and then Pay Now on the invoice page.
  2. In the Select Payment Method dialog, choose a method and confirm.
  3. When payment succeeds, the invoice status changes to Paid and the related subscription is activated or extended.

Payment methods

MethodDetails
Account balanceAvailable when your balance covers the full invoice total. Charged instantly. Not available for top-up invoices.
Saved cardPay in one click with a card saved under Payment Methods. If your bank requires 3D Secure, a verification window opens.
CardEnter card details at payment time. Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted.
Google PayAvailable in browsers and on devices that support Google Pay.

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number never passes through or is stored on Yeap Cloud servers.

Note

The payment dialog may list other methods. If one of them cannot complete a payment, use your balance or a card instead.

Save a card

  1. Go to Billing → Balance and open the Payment Methods tab.
  2. Click Add Card, enter the card details and save.
  3. Use Set Default to make a card your default, or remove cards you no longer use.

Your default card is used for automatic renewal payments (see below).

Invoices

The Invoice management list shows the invoice number, description, amount, status, creation date and due date. Invoice statuses:

Click View to open an invoice. It shows the invoice type, issue date, due date, payment time, payment method and line items. Click Print / Export PDF in the top-right corner to print it, or choose "Save as PDF" in your browser's print dialog.

Subscriptions and renewals

Billing → Subscriptions lists all your subscriptions with product type, plan name, linked resource, status, billing cycle, expiry date and an auto-renew switch. Click Details to see the linked resources, quota usage and usage for the current period.

Subscription statuses

StatusMeaning

Activation pendingOrdered, waiting for payment or provisioning
PausedExpired without renewal; service is paused and resumes once the renewal invoice is paid
CanceledYou cancelled the subscription
Expired / TerminatedService has ended

Auto-renew

  • Use the Auto-renewal switch in the My plans list to turn auto-renew on or off for a subscription. It can be changed for active, pending and suspended subscriptions.
  • For subscriptions with auto-renew on, a renewal invoice is created about 7 days before expiry. If you have a default card saved, we try to charge it automatically. If you have no default card, or the charge fails, the renewal invoice stays unpaid; pay it manually before the expiry date (your balance can be used).
  • With auto-renew off, no renewal invoice is created automatically and the subscription is suspended when it expires.

Expiry and suspension

  • When a subscription expires without being renewed, it is suspended and a renewal invoice is created with a 7-day payment window. Paying it restores the service, and the new billing period starts from the time of payment.
  • Subscriptions that stay suspended for more than 30 days are terminated, and their resources may be released.
Warning

A terminated subscription cannot be restored. Keep an eye on expiry reminders in the Needs attention panel on the dashboard.

Upgrade a plan

For an active subscription, click Upgrade:

  • For DNS, CDN, domain email and similar products, you are taken to the product's plan page. Choose a higher plan and confirm. The upgrade price takes into account the days remaining in your current cycle.
  • For products bought through the provisioning wizard, such as hosting, the wizard opens so you can order the new region and plan.

Downgrades are not available online. Contact support if you need to downgrade.

Cancel a subscription

For an active or suspended subscription, click Cancel and confirm. A cancelled subscription will not renew and cannot be reactivated. Cancelling does not trigger a refund automatically.

Coupon codes

If you have a coupon code, enter it in the Cart and apply it. The code is validated, and at checkout the discount is spread proportionally across the resulting invoices. If the code is no longer valid at checkout, you are told it did not apply and the invoice is created at the full price.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by our support team. A refunded invoice shows the status Refunded. Amounts refunded to your balance appear as Refund entries in your transaction history.

Currencies

  • Your account balance and top-ups are in USD.
  • Every plan price states its currency, and invoices are issued in the currency of the plan price. The currency and amount on the invoice are what you pay.
  • Profile → Profile → Preferred currency records your preference. It does not change the currency of invoices already issued.
