IP Address Lookup: Location, ASN and Owner
Look up any IP address or hostname: the country and city it is registered in, the network (ASN) and organisation that runs it, and its reverse DNS name.
How it works
What an IP lookup can tell you
Network and owner
Every public address belongs to an autonomous system (ASN) run by an ISP, hosting company or large organisation. That tells you who to contact about abuse.
Location is an estimate
GeoIP data maps address blocks to places using registry data and measurements. VPNs, mobile networks and anycast addresses often show a distant or central location.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can I find a person's address from their IP?
No. An IP lookup shows the network and an approximate region, never a street address or a name.
Why does the location look wrong?
Providers often register whole address ranges at their head office, and anycast services answer from many places at once.
