HTTP Headers and Redirect Checker
Enter a URL to follow its redirects and see every status code and response header — caching, security headers, HTTP version and the IP each hop came from.
How it works
What to look for in response headers
Redirect chains
Each redirect costs a round trip. Ideally http:// and www go straight to the final URL in a single 301.
Caching
Cache-Control, ETag and Age tell you whether a CDN or browser may cache the page and whether this response came from a cache.
Security headers
Strict-Transport-Security, Content-Security-Policy, X-Content-Type-Options and Referrer-Policy harden your site in the browser.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Why does the checker see a different response than my browser?
The check runs from our servers without your cookies or login, and some sites answer bots, regions or HTTP clients differently.
Is the page content downloaded?
No. The checker reads only the status line and headers of each response and then closes the connection.
Can it check internal addresses?
No. Only public addresses on ports 80 and 443 can be checked.
